Xmas 2013 - Cold and colder

"Reina" the chihuahua.

Debs and I looking out from Mt. Tam. San Francisco is just out of frame to the left.

A vantage from the Palo-Marin trail, at the southern most area of Point Reyes.

Debs found a young deer antler off the beaten path near "Wildcat Camp."

Nobody believed me that there was a face in my parents fridge.

Fun with optics at the new Exploritorium in San Francisco.

-40 degrees Farenheit takes it's toll on the St. Lawrence River - Quebec City

The Fairmont Le Château Frontenac - A wonderful refuge from the biting cold

Despite the layers, we were only able to last about an hour in -40 degrees F

Le Chochon Dingue - An amazing breakfast spot in Old Town Quebec City. 5 stars.

Frosty Beauty

An frozen ugly man

A commuter ferry was swept a few km away by ice flows. A Canadian ice breaker ship came to the rescue, clearing the way for the ferry.

This young person was mugging me all weekend.

I've got dibs.

Snow shoeing in -20 degrees Farenheit at La Baluchon resort, in Trois Riviere, QC.

Frozen whiskers.

A freezing journey by horse drawn sleigh, to a "sugar shack" deep in the woods. When asked if the horses get cold in the -30 degree weather, the sleigh-driver replied "no."
